KTWU, local public television, is pleased to announce it has won three Videographer Awards in the 2010 competition. KTWU won Awards of Excellence, the highest honor, for “DRACULA: Theater of the Mind,” in categories of TV Program/Arts, TV Productions/Sound, and for the promotional spot announcement for the program. The Videographer Clapboard Award is one of the most coveted awards in the video industry. Since 1996, thousands of production and communication professionals have entered their best and most creative work. Winners range from network news operations to local television stations encompassing work from major advertising agencies and independent artists. “DRACULA: Theater of the Mind,” is the fourth live, televised 1940’s-style radio drama from Arts, Incorporated, produced by KTWU-TV in Topeka, Kansas. The program is an audio-adaptation of the classic horror tale by Philip Grecian and is directed for television by Jim Kelly. The program was presented in part by the Kansas Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. The Videographer Awards is an international competition designed to recognize excellence in Video Productions, TV Commercials/ News/ Programs and New Media. The mission of the Videographer Awards is to provide meaningful recognition to hard-working, creative companies, individuals and their clients.
