What is the face of hunger? What is the face of homelessness? IGI challenges commonly held ideas about the visual representation of hunger and homelessness.

It is estimated in the United States that over 36 million people are hungry and 13 million of those are children. Poverty is the number one cause of hunger and homelessness. This episode of IGI offers an education on the prevalence of the hungry and homeless, right here in our own community.

Scheduled to participate on this topic are Karen Haren, President, Harvesters Food Network; Maureen Turner, Executive Director, AARP Kansas; Michelle de la Isla, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity; Barry Feaker, Executive Director, Topeka Rescue Mission; and Rick Ellis, Director of Community Service and Civic Engagement, Washburn University.
