A CAPITOL FOURTH, America’s national Independence Day celebration, kicks off our country’s 241st birthday with an all-star musical extravaganza broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.  Actor John Stamos is set to host the broadcast. Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi will recreate the Blues Brothers. Iconic music legends The Beach Boys (pictured), legendary Motown stars The Four Tops, Tony-nominated Phillipa Soo from Hamilton, country music star Trace Adkins and the National Symphony Orchestra bring inspirational performances home to America. The program is also broadcast to our troops serving around the world on the American Forces Network. With 20 cameras positioned around the city, viewers are front and center for the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation. A CAPITOL FOURTH airs LIVE! on Tuesday, July 4, 7 PM on KTWU-HD, 11.1, followed by the 15th annual CELEBRATION AT THE STATION from Union Station in Kansas City at 8:30 PM.
