The college closed years ago, but had a huge impact on both the town and the region and when it opened in 1922 as the first all-women's college in Kansas; we visit MINDDRIVE in Kansas City, MO, where area high school students work on weekends to learn how to build real-world electric cars; and in our Plains People segment, we meet Eric McHenry, the new Poet Laureate of Kansas who promotes poetry across the Midwest.
