Ahniwake Rose worked for nearly 15 years in Washington D.C. on behalf of Native American tribes. Now, she's returned to Oklahoma to continue her work creating a more equitable future for all. In our Cherokee Almanac, we explore the concept of clan law. Before we had written laws, justice was determined through a consensus of our tribe's clan structure. In this Cherokee Almanac, we take a look at Cherokee systems of justice and their evolution over time.
