That question, in its popularized form, came from a series of sermon stories told by the Reverend Charles M. Sheldon — a Protestant minister at Central Congregational Church in Topeka, Kansas. The half-hour programs explores the notion that the guiding mythologies of modern civilization are undergoing a metamorphosis of historic significance.

Wanting to help those who are new to the exercise, fitness instructor Sarah Starr created an easier routine. Happy Yoga, as she calls it, is a modified program using chairs that allows people of any age or physical condition to be able to benefit from yoga.
Heartland Local Food
The local food debate going on at the Farmers’ Market in Lawrence, Kansas is representative of the food issues facing the entire United States. This film explores what makes food sustainable, how farmers’ markets build community, and why local food matters. By highlighting stories from several Kansas farmers, this documentary explores the challenges of growing food in ethical and sustainable ways.

A partnership between Make48, Outpost Worldwide, and KTWU, Make48 is a new type of invention competition. 17 Teams are given 48 hours to come up with an idea, create a prototype, marketing materials, and a pitch. The goal of Make48 is to foster imagination, creativity, problem solving and the inventive spirit. Make48 captures the process of invention through a hands-on competition that challenges individuals of various ages and backgrounds to take product ideas from conception to physical prototype in a 48-hour period. Make48 is proudly presented and distributed to public television stations, nationwide, by KTWU and American Public Television.

A documentary featuring former Kansas Governor, Kathleen Sebelius. This is a story of a woman in a male-dominated political field and a Democrat in a Republican state, finding the right balance to bring two differing parties together to get things done.
Rust
“Rust” presents the history of Rust Belt poverty, detailing industrialization and deindustrialization and also racism and mass incarceration, using the city of Newark, New Jersey as microcosm. It explores solutions to inner city intergenerational poverty through the voices of scholars, economists, physicians, activists, and the community.
