For Our People - Yurok-Tolowa-Dee-Ni' Nation and Karuk Tribe

We visit Yurok-Tolowa-Dee-ni' Nation as tribes unite along California's North Coast, leading a new model of ocean care through the Indigenous Marine Stewardship Area. Then travel to Karuk homelands, where fire is medicine. Cultural burns restore forests and renew language, tradition, and identity as Karuk fire practitioners partner with California to bring good fire back to land and people-building resilience for future generations. Plus, Gunner Jules performs.
