Osiyo, Voices of the Cherokee People
This docuseries features the culture, history and language of the Cherokee Nation, the largest federally recognized tribe in the US with more than 380,000 citizens. Cherokee history and culture are featured with stories such as turtle shell shakers, buffalo grass dolls and basket weaving. Also featuured are the lives of Cherokee people today; a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter pilot, scuba diving with wounded warriors and searching for Bigfoot in the foothills of the Cherokee Nation. These are the voices of the Cherokee people.
